At DreamCatchers, we are all about quality & take pride in our hair, just as you do. That’s why we only use 100% Remy hair that is silicone free. Doing this ensures lasting, quality hair, the kind you dream about. Our hair is a unique blend of Remy hair, which means that the cuticles are intact & are aligned in the same direction. As part of our quality control, we lab test our hair to check for cuticle integrity, pH, & hair structure to ensure that the hair is damage free & without any coatings.
Extension Maintenance
Proper maintenance is essential to keeping your DreamCatchers Hair Extensions looking flawless, feeling comfortable, and lasting as long as possible. Our extension maintenance appointments are designed to protect the integrity of both your natural hair and your investment.
During your maintenance visit, we carefully assess your extensions and natural hair, addressing growth, tension, and overall wear. Depending on your method, this may include repositioning, tightening, refreshing bonds, or replacing extension hair as needed. Each appointment also includes a thorough cleanse, style, and personalized education to ensure your extensions continue to blend seamlessly and perform beautifully.
Maintenance is typically recommended every 4–6 weeks, though timing may vary based on your lifestyle, hair growth, and chosen method. Staying on a consistent maintenance schedule helps prevent unnecessary stress on your natural hair and ensures optimal longevity of your extensions.

The Maintenace Appointments
Bump Up
All Bump Ups are 4-6 weeks maintenance appointment, where we slide the cylinder up
Refusion is your 8 - 12 week maintenace appointment, which follows the bump up appointment, where we remove the exetensions and place them in a new sections to let the hair rest.
Extension Care
Washing and Styling
You must follow the directions provided to you Me and use only products that I have approved in order to prevent damage to the Dream Catchers Extensions and your own hair.

You have twice as much hair, so rinse twice as much

Leave your conditioner on the DreamCatchers for at least 2-3 minutes

As your DreamCatchers age, leave conditioner on for a longer time

Run fingers along scalp in “Z” shape pattern and run fingers through your cylinders

Towel dry hair as much as possible; DreamCatchers will retain much more water than your natural hair

Air/Rough dry at least 80% before running a brush through your DreamCatchers/natural hair

DO NOT wash or blow dry your hair upside down as this may cause tangling.
Coloring
Serious damage may be caused to your DreamCatchers Extensions and to your own hair by chemical treatments at home, or by hairdressers not thoroughly familiar with DreamCatchers. This is because color or perming chemicals may be trapped in the attachment cylinders, where they can continue to affect and possibly damage the DreamCatchers Extensions or your own hair.
All chemical treatments of your own hair should be carried out by Me. The range of color changes possible with DreamCatchers Hair Extensions is limited by certain chemical factors understood only by Me, your stylist.
Cutting
Hairdressers not familiar with DreamCatchers Extensions may damage it by cutting it too short or by using the incorrect technique. Please make sure to contact Me when looking for a trim.
Maintenance Program
As your hair grows, the cylinders attaching the DreamCatchers Extensions will move further away from your scalp along with your own hair. This can increase the traction on your own hair. Therefore, it is necessary for you to return to Me every 4 to 6 weeks, or as advised by your stylist. The reason is to have the attachment cylinders returned to or replaced to their original positions. Failure to do this may result in tangling and/or loss of some of your own hair and also a loss in the manufacturer’s guarantee on the DreamCatchers. Furthermore, it is vital you return to your certified stylist within one week of the initial fitting of your DreamCatchers Extensions so I can ensure that the system is satisfactory to you.
This will also assist in determining suitable hair care regime at home and in the studio.
Brushing

Extra care must be taken when brushing the hair to avoid dragging (pulling) the cylinder attachments.

Hold your hair close to the base and brush from the ends working your way up the shaft of the hair

Recommend paddle or boar bristle brush- loop brushes not required
SunScreen

You must avoid Avobenzone, Oxybenzone or benzophenone-3 or BP-3. These ingredients will damage your extensions as well as discolor them. If you notice any pink orange discoloration contact me.
Swimming
When swimming it is advisable to:

Braid or put your DreamCatchers Hair Extensions into a ponytail as this will prevent knotting.

Rinse your hair in fresh water before going into pool or ocean as well as rinsing once you get out

Apply a detangler or leave-in conditioner once you get out of the water
Sleeping

We suggest sleeping on a smooth silky surface that is non-abrasive and will assist in taking care of your DreamCatchers Extensions while sleeping.

Do not go to bed with wet hair

Loosely braid or put your hair into a ponytail when sleeping.
