The Full Story

My name is Danny Pleasant, and barbering has been a part of my life for more than three decades. I graduated from Winston-Salem Barber School in May of 1994 and began my career at City Barber Shop in Waynesville, North Carolina, where I worked until January 2007. In February 2007, I became co-owner of Eagles Nest Barber Shop in Waynesville and proudly served that community until May 2014. From there, I joined Courtesy Barber Shop in Candler, North Carolina. In 2019, I purchased the shop and have been here ever since, building a space that blends tradition, modern craftsmanship, and a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who walks through the door. Along with my barbering background, I’m also a Certified Dream Catchers Extension Specialist, offering high-quality extension services for clients looking to add length, volume, or a fresh new
look.
 

Outside the shop, I’m a family man first. I’m married to my wife, Callan Pleasant, and we’re raising two amazing little girls, Layken and Londyn. When I’m not cutting hair, you can usually find me on the golf course or watching football. Today, I’m proud to welcome you to our newly reimagined, blended space, Studio IX. It’s a place where classic barbering and modern salon services come together under one roof, created with the goal of offering every guest a look they love and an experience that feels like home. Barbering isn’t just my profession, it’s been my lifelong craft. I’m grateful for every client who walks in and excited for everything ahead at Studio IX.
